Where possible Brightlingsea Sailing Club has followed the guidelines published by accessibility experts and standards bodies during the development of our website. Our pages are validated to the current HTML/CSS standards and also satisfy many WCAG accessibility guidelines to the Double-A rating.
The only exceptions to this statement are pages that may be hosted by us but created by outside writers, and also any external links to other websites.
Our pages are designed to work with a wide range of web browsers on Windows, Mac and Linux computers. We recommend Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 11 if you wish to see our site at its best. However, everything should work even with text-only browsers like Lynx, as almost all scripting is browser-independent.
Many browsers also contain inbuilt accessibilities options and facilities that will further enhance the site’s accessibility. Please consult your browser help files for further information.
All our website page code and graphics have also been optimised for fast downloading.
