RIP Past Commodore Ian Cruickshank - UPDATED - Funeral 4 Apri
It is with great sadness that we share news of the death of past Commodore and BSC Honorary Life Member Ian Cruickshank. Ian and his family became very involved with club activities during the 1970s. He was an enthusiastic member of the GP fleet and having joined the club committees he went on to become Commodore from 1991-92, playing an important role in supporting the club for many years. RIP Eric Rust - UPDATED Funeral Wed 7 Dec
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of former BSC Commodore Eric Rust who passed away on Sunday 13 November 2022. Having watched racing at Oulton Broad and Felixstowe with interest earlier in his life, Eric took up sailing at the age of 40 and soon after started racing an Enterprise, bought from Brightlingsea, at Bletchley Sailing Club. A few years later his work brought him to Colchester and he started

Fair Winds Your Majesty And Thank You
We are so saddened to learn the news from Buckingham Palace and we all mourn the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. The Queen has been a steady hand on the tiller of our lives for over 70 years. Regatta Weekend at BSC

RIP Robin Gibbon - Honorary Life Member
Sad news reaches us that Robin Gibbon, a past owner of BOD C14 Aina, quietly slipped anchor on the 19th of May, at the age of 93. Robin and his brother Bill owned Aina from the mid 1950s until the late 70s and were keen supporters of the BOD fleet. Robin was also a great supporter of BSC and remained an honorary life member of BSC until his death. He is survived by his wife
