    New Trophies for The River Start Series

    Have a look at these new trophies kindly donated to us from a most unlikely source. These will be awarded to the Overall winner and the first Cadet in the new series starting on May 11th. Make sure you enter and compete and be the first name on the trophy. The series is open to all and will incorporate simple courses starting from a RIB line in the River.

  • Learn to Sail for Adults and Cadet Night.

    On Wednesday the 8th May we have our first Learn to Sail session of the Season. This starts at 17.45 and is aimed at adults who have had some experience of sailing but want to improve or just get some practise in while their is rescue cover on the water.   • Introducing Your New General Committee

    At the BSC AGM held on Easter Monday your new Flag Officers and General Committee were elected. Having stood down after completing her two years as Commodore, Fiona Brown was invited to take the honorary role of President.     RNLI Talk & Chilli Supper - 26 April

    We're all grateful to the wonderful men and women of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) for their dedication and service in saving lives at sea. Fortunately few of our members have ever needed to call on them in anger, but with Mersea and Clacton inshore lifeboats and Walton and Harwich offshore lifeboats all within a very short run of our sailing waters its wonderful to know they are there when we need them.

    Cadet Nights 2019 Are Fast Approaching

    Spring has finally sprung and the 2019 edition of our legendary Tuesday Night Cadet sessions are now only a few weeks away.
