    RNLI Talk & Chilli Supper - 26 April

    We're all grateful to the wonderful men and women of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) for their dedication and service in saving lives at sea. Fortunately few of our members have ever needed to call on them in anger, but with Mersea and Clacton inshore lifeboats and Walton and Harwich offshore lifeboats all within a very short run of our sailing waters its wonderful to know they are there when we need them.

    Cadet Nights 2019 Are Fast Approaching

    Spring has finally sprung and the 2019 edition of our legendary Tuesday Night Cadet sessions are now only a few weeks away.   • RIP Jean Thomas

    It is with great sadness that we share the news that BSC Honorary Life Member Jean Thomas (nee Stone) passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning 20th March 2019 at Farrar's Hall Care Home, Huntingdon at the age of 94. Jean was the daughter of BOD designer and builder Robbie Stone and indeed BOD number 1 Jean was named after her. She had belonged to BSC since childhood and was always a wonderful supporter of

    RIP Angie Bines

    It is with the greatest sadness that we must inform you of the passing of Honorary Life Member Angie Bines. For some year's Angie had been battling Parkinson's Disease and she passed away peacefully in hospital in the early hours of 19 th March with her family at her side. Angie and her husband Johnny joined the sailing club in 1971 with their two young sons Andy and Chris. They immediately threw themselves
