    Pyefleet Week Is Back For 2021!

    The Pyefleet Week Committee met again at the beginning of May and we have great news! Pyefleet Week is back for 2021, taking place as planned from 7 to 13 August and will, as far as possible, follow the traditional Pyefleet Week format. Racing will once again be run over morning and afternoon sessions with the classes alternating between am and pm. Final details of the classes and splits are just being worked

    New 2021 Course Card and New Sailing Instructions from 1 May

    A brand new club racing Course Card and an updated set of club racing Sailing Instructions have been introduced and will come into force from 1 May. Copies of the course card will be available from the race office over the weekend and can also be downloaded from the website , along with the new Sailing Instructions, which confirm the Fleet Racing fleet splits for the May Mugs.     URGENT - Change to Start Times On Sunday 25 April - Now 11.00 and 11.25

    An error has been spotted in the start times for this coming Sunday's racing. High tide is at 11.33 but the start times had been incorrectly posted on the website at 14.00 for the Alternative Bines Worth Handicap and 14.25 for the Mirror Practice Race. Please note that the correct start time for the Alternative Bines Worth Handicap Race is 11.00 and that the Mirror Practice Race starts at 11.25.

    BSC Honours HRH Prince Philip - Revised Start Time Saturday 17 April

    This coming Saturday 17 April at 15.00 there will be a nationwide minute of silence to honour His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, whose funeral will also commence at this time.     New Committee Boat For BSC

    The plan to replace or undertake a major refit on the club's committee boat was first identified on the BSC Five Year Development Plan in 2018. At the same time the need to replace our elderly start hut was also added. Inspections of the hut and the committee boat at that time revealed that the start hut was the more urgent priority and so this was planned for the 2019 season with the committee boat

    Easter Monday Racing Cancelled

    Sadly the forecast for Easter Monday 5 April, is for very strong and cold winds with a possibility of wintery showers. The decision has therefore been made to cancel the racing and notify everyone immediately so that you all have the chance to reorganise your days to spend time with family or friends or taking part in alternative activities, etc. Next weekend we have two days of Spring Series all in handicap racing starting

    Easter Weekend at BSC

    We've an action packed weekend of racing at BSC over Easter and we're looking forward to seeing lots of members at the club. Sadly the Covid-19 restrictions mean that we cannot yet have the clubhouse or changing rooms open but the disabled toilet will be available during organised activities and Queen Bee Coffee will be open providing hot and cold soft drinks and snacks. Our first race of the season is Friday's Season Opening

  • UPDATE - BSC Toilet Now Open

    UPDATE - Good news, the sewage pump has been replaced and the disabled toilet will be available during organised activities from today. Would those members planning to participate in the Supported Sailing sessions on 30 and 31 March and 1 April please note that unfortunately there are currently no toilet facilities available at the club. The main sewage pump has failed and a replacement is urgently being sought by the maintenance
