The BSC Café Bar is open at weekends, Tuesday Cadet Nights*, Thursday Night Pursuit nights** , Fun Friday Beach Club evenings and for special events and open meetings. Please check the online calendar

* Until school summer holidays

**NB: Not every Thursday due to low tides.

DRINK

We offer a fully stocked bar with a wide range of beers, wines, gourmet gins, rums, and summer favourites like Aperol and Pimm's No.1, perfect for enjoying on warm days by the water.

  • Adnams Wild Wave Cider
  • Carlsberg Lager

COFFEE / TEA / HOT CHOCOLATE

Enjoy Lavazza bean-to-cup coffee for cappuccinos, lattes, and espressos alongside instant coffee and a range of teas (including herbal options) and hot chocolate.

Takeaway option available

SNACKS

To accompany your drinks, we offer cakes, muffins, flapjacks, chocolate bars, sweets, and a good selection of savoury snacks.
Croissants and pain-au-chocolats are available for breakfast or elevenses please ask if not on display.

FOOD

WEEKENDS & PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
Homemade rolls are available daily from the fridge at the end of the bar, with a selection of fillings typically cheese, egg mayonnaise, ham, or salami & salad.
A selection of artisan The Natural Baker pastries eg sausage rolls and pasties also available from behind the bar.

TUESDAY CADET NIGHTS
Volunteers run the Galley offering hot food after sailing. Menu changes weekly. Vegetarian options available.

THURSDAY PURSUIT RACE
A selection of hot artisan pastries including sausage rolls, pasties, and quiches is available after racing. Vegetarian options available - pls ask in advance to be sure.

BEACH CLUB FUN FRIDAYS
Volunteers run the Galley offering hot food after sailing. Menus will be shared via the BSC Members WhatsApp group. Vegetarian options available.

OPEN MEETINGS
During special events, open meetings, and championships, Galley service is typically available for breakfast and club suppers. Baguettes, rolls, snacks, and cakes are also available during the day.

PRIVATE EVENTS / CLUB HIRE

Members and local organisations may request to hire the club for functions. Availability depends on club activities and approval by the BSC General Committee.
Please note: We do not hire the club to non-members for private events.

Facilities include:

  • Main ground floor clubhouse
  • First-floor function room with estuary views
  • Small training/meeting room

Events can be supported by a staffed bar and fully equipped kitchen.
NB: We do not offer a buffet service; external catering is recommended.
