RIP Robin Gibbon - Honorary Life Member
Sad news reaches us that Robin Gibbon, a past owner of BOD C14 Aina, quietly slipped anchor on the 19th of May, at the age of 93. Robin and his brother Bill owned Aina from the mid 1950s until the late 70s and were keen supporters of the BOD fleet. Robin was also a great supporter of BSC and remained an honorary life member of BSC until his death. He is survived by his wife

Development Sailing Wednesday Night Sessions Cancelled Due To Injury
As some of you may already know, our Chief Instructor and Joint Cadet Captain Craig Bond has recently been involved in a fall which has damaged a vertebra in his back. Unfortunately this means that for some weeks he cannot undertake any lifting and his other physical activities are significantly limited. RIP Jill Newman
We are sad to report that Jill Newman passed away peacefully on Saturday 9th October at St Helena Hospice. Married to Barry for 62 years Jill was a longstanding and popular member of BSC. She was an active member of the sailing club even though she was not a keen sailor. Her involvement began when a large group of young cadets had their first Mirror dinghies and Barry became cadet captain. Jill

BSC Welcomes Its First Open Meeting Visitors in 19 Months!
After an extraordinary year which none of us could have predicted, BSC is thrilled to finally be welcoming open meeting visitors to the club this weekend (22/23 May) for the Double Hander Open Meeting featuring the RS200, GP14 and Fireball Classes.
