  • RS Tera Race Day-

    The sailing club welcomed 37 Rs Tera`s for training on Saturday and for racing on Sunday. The event was seen as a training event for the Nationals at the club on August 24th. Saturday was a great training day with the breeze picking up throughout the day. Sunday was to say the least a challenge for all. The wind was around 20knots when racing started but picked up again to near 30 knots

  • Volunteering for Race Duties

    I would like to clarify the situation with regard to volunteering for Rescue Duties and OOD. It is possible that the terminology used in this year`s instructions to members may have been misunderstood. Racing members to do 4 duties on the water or in the race office inclusive of Opens. Racing Cadets (16-18) to do 2 duties on the water or in the race office.

    RIP John Bines - Updated - Funeral 25 June

    It is with the greatest sadness that we must inform you of the death of former BSC Commodore John Bines, who passed away on Monday 27 th May following a short stay in hospital. John, his wife Angie and their sons Andy and Chris became members of the club in 1971 and over the subsequent almost four decades John's contribution to club life was immeasurable.     New Trophies for The River Start Series

    Have a look at these new trophies kindly donated to us from a most unlikely source. These will be awarded to the Overall winner and the first Cadet in the new series starting on May 11th.
