    RIP John Henderson

    It is with great sadness that we report the passing of long standing BSC member John Henderson, who died peacefully on 6 November 2023 surrounded by his family, just a few days short of his 84th birthday. John, his wife Pat and their daughters Tania and Nicky joined the sailing club over 40 years ago when the girls began attending Tuesday Night Cadets, and he remained an active member right up until this season.

    It is with the greatest sadness that we share the news that Melissa Smith (nee Sorrell) passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, following her cancer battle. Melissa has been a member of BSC since she was a child and has been an active member across both sailing and social aspects of the club.     RIP Eric Rust - UPDATED Funeral Wed 7 Dec

    It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of former BSC Commodore Eric Rust who passed away on Sunday 13 November 2022. Having watched racing at Oulton Broad and Felixstowe with interest earlier in his life, Eric took up sailing at the age of 40 and soon after started racing an Enterprise, bought from Brightlingsea, at Bletchley Sailing Club.
