Towing Aft
Towing alongside
Towing Performance boats
Entrapment
Search Patterns (Box and Sector).
Alec Mumford is an experienced multi discipline RYA Instructor with a passion for CPD (Continual Professional Development). Alec has delivered the RYA Powerboat and Sailing scheme for many years with an ongoing focus on instructor CPD and sharing his knowledge. Over the last few years Alec has dedicating his own time for CPD being invited to practical assessment's by Rachel Andrew (RYA Chief Instructor Motor Cruising and Power) and Paul Glatzel (Author of the RYA's Advanced Powerboat Handbook).
Throughout the workshop he will be sharing experiences from his time on the water with an open discussion. The workshop will focus on powerboat skills, safety boat coordination, rescuing techniques and advanced powerboat manoeuvres. If you are a pleasure boater, safety coordinator, club safety boat volunteer or powerboat instructor the workshop will benefit you in all areas.
If there is anything you feel would benefit your club to be included in this workshop, please contact Simon Redfearn and he will pass this on to Alec who will try to accommodate this.
