BSC Laying Up Supper 2019

Join us aboard the BSC Ocean Liner at Brightlingsea Sailing Club on Saturday 26 October 2019 for our 2019 Laying up Supper & Prize-Giving, and help us to celebrate the end of another great season and honour our 2019 trophy winners.

The evening will open with welcome aboard drinks at 6.30pm, followed by a delicious three course dinner created for us by the highly regarded Lexden Crown catering team. There will be live jazz during the reception and dinner and dancing after dinner. Later in the evening cheese and biscuits will be served. The dress code is black tie (but please don't panic if you don't own a DJ as a relaxed approach to black tie is permitted - our key aim is for everyone to enjoy a truly special evening and to be dressed appropriately).

Tables are available for groups of 10,12 or 14 (please note that 14 is quite cosy) or individual tickets can be purchase.

The menu is as follows:


Prawn & crayfish cocktail with cherry tomatoes & an iceberg lettuce salad (GF)

Chefs soup of the day (GF and V)

Chicken Liver parfait


Breast of chicken wrapped in bacon with a creamy mushroom sauce, saute potatoes – the sauce can be served gluten free if specified

Red onion and goats cheese tart served with salad and new potatoes (V)

Steak and Ale Pie with new potatoes and seasonal veg


Profiteroles filled with vanilla cream & draped in a dark chocolate sauce (V)

Eton mess: fresh strawberries, meringue & vanilla cream (GF & V)

Individual apple crumble with cream (V)

Cheese will be served following the prize giving.
