    The Great BSC Pumpkin Patch Is Back!

    RIP Jill Newman

    We are sad to report that Jill Newman passed away peacefully on Saturday 9th October at St Helena Hospice. Married to Barry for 62 years Jill was a longstanding and popular member of BSC. She was an active member of the sailing club even though she was not a keen sailor. Her involvement began when a large group of young cadets had their first Mirror dinghies and Barry became cadet captain. Jill

    BSC Welcomes Its First Open Meeting Visitors in 19 Months!

    After an extraordinary year which none of us could have predicted, BSC is thrilled to finally be welcoming open meeting visitors to the club this weekend (22/23 May) for the Double Hander Open Meeting featuring the RS200, GP14 and Fireball Classes.     Pyefleet Week Is Back For 2021!

    The Pyefleet Week Committee met again at the beginning of May and we have great news! Pyefleet Week is back for 2021, taking place as planned from 7 to 13 August and will, as far as possible, follow the traditional Pyefleet Week format.     URGENT - Change to Start Times On Sunday 25 April - Now 11.00 and 11.25

    An error has been spotted in the start times for this coming Sunday's racing. High tide is at 11.33 but the start times had been incorrectly posted on the website at 14.00 for the Alternative Bines Worth Handicap and 14.25 for the Mirror Practice Race. Please note that the correct start time for the Alternative Bines Worth Handicap Race is 11.00 and that the Mirror Practice Race starts at 11.25.

    BSC Honours HRH Prince Philip - Revised Start Time Saturday 17 April

    New Committee Boat For BSC

    The plan to replace or undertake a major refit on the club's committee boat was first identified on the BSC Five Year Development Plan in 2018. At the same time the need to replace our elderly start hut was also added. Inspections of the hut and the committee boat at that time revealed that the start hut was the more urgent priority and so this was planned for the 2019 season with the committee boat

    Easter Monday Racing Cancelled

    Sadly the forecast for Easter Monday 5 April, is for very strong and cold winds with a possibility of wintery showers.
