It is with great sadness that we share the news that BSC Honorary Life Member Jean Thomas (nee Stone) passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning 20th March 2019 at Farrar's Hall Care Home, Huntingdon at the age of 94. Jean was the daughter of BOD designer and builder Robbie Stone and indeed BOD number 1 Jean was named after her. She had belonged to BSC since childhood and was always a wonderful supporter of

It is with the greatest sadness that we must inform you of the passing of Honorary Life Member Angie Bines. For some year's Angie had been battling Parkinson's Disease and she passed away peacefully in hospital in the early hours of 19 th March with her family at her side. It is with a huge amount of sadness that we must advise you of the death of Nicki Worth on the 18th February following her battle with cancer. Nicki was a keen sailor and supporter of the club ever since moving to Brightlingsea. Nicki leaves behind her husband Ferret (Martin) daughters Tilly and Flora and her Mum and brother. December 2018 Dear Members and Friends, You may have noticed rather more 'Mirror' sailing activity this year and we are pleased to announce that Mirror sailing and racing is included in the BSC programme for next summer. Where our club is already co-ordinating thorough and extensive teaching programmes a revival of Mirror activity is seen as a worthwhile addition, especially since we already have the new beginnings of a fleet.
