Cat Fest Ahoy - 28 to 30 September

Cat Fest 2018 is fast approaching on 28 to 30 September and we have a brilliant weekend planned. The event incorporates the F18 Nationals (who will be racing on Friday as well as over the weekend) and the Tornado, Nacra 15 and Spitfire Nationals plus a Shearwater Traveller's Trophy Event and Fast and Slow Handicap fleets.

The club will be open from 6pm on Thursday to welcome arriving competitors. Breakfast will be available in the club from 08.30 on Friday morning and registration for the F18s will open on Friday at 09.00 with an F18 competitor's briefing at 10.30 and the first of up to three races for the F18s starting at noon. On Friday night there will be a steak and chips supper cooked by the one and only Rob White and the bar will be open until late.

On Saturday the galley will open for breakfast from 07.30 and registration for the other fleets opens at 09.00. There is a Competitor Briefing at 10.30 and the first of up to three starts for all fleets will be at noon. After racing there will be a club supper, once again cooked by the White family, followed by dancing until late to legendary local band Contraband.

On Sunday breakfast is once again available from 07.30 and the regatta wraps up with three more races starting at 10.30am followed by a prize giving and afternoon tea as soon as possible after sailing.

All members are very welcome to take part in the social events over the weekend. In addition we are still seeking a couple of volunteers to help rescue boat/mark laying duties on the Friday and we have some galley slots that need filling on all three days.
