Easter Weekend at BSC

Published 12:17 on 2 Apr 2021
We've an action packed weekend of racing at BSC over Easter and we're looking forward to seeing lots of members at the club. Sadly the Covid-19 restrictions mean that we cannot yet have the clubhouse or changing rooms open but the disabled toilet will be available during organised activities and Queen Bee Coffee will be open providing hot and cold soft drinks and snacks.
Our first race of the season is Friday's Season Opening Pursuit Race (90 minutes) which kicks off at 14.00. On Saturday we have the first Spring Series all in handicap race, also starting at 14.00. On Sunday there is the traditional Easter Eggs Pursuit Race (90 minutes) which is at the earlier time of 11.00 to allow everyone to be back ashore in time for lunch with their friends and families. Sadly we cannot of course have our traditional Easter Eggs Race prize giving, but there will be Easter Eggs for all participants when you get back ashore! And finally on Monday we have the second Spring Series all in handicap race at 14.00.
The Sailing Instructions and Notice of Race are all now published online. Online signing on is not available for the Season Opening Pursuit Race - which you will need to sign on for in person at the top of the ramp with the Duty Officer - but for all other races the Online Signing On System is now live.
Please can we ask everyone to take care to remember that social distancing requirements are still in place. Maintain 2m distance between households/groups, do not gather in groups of more than 6 individuals or 2 households, please use the one way system on the ramp (keep left) and please be extremely careful when crossing the Promenade and avoid gathering either side of the Promenade and restricting the public's access.
