RIP Past Commodore Ian Cruickshank - UPDATED - Funeral 4 Apri

It is with great sadness that we share news of the death of past Commodore and BSC Honorary Life Member Ian Cruickshank. Ian and his family became very involved with club activities during the 1970s. He was an enthusiastic member of the GP fleet and having joined the club committees he went on to become Commodore from 1991-92, playing an important role in supporting the club for many years.

Ian collapsed at home and was taken to hospital, but sadly passed away on 25 February supported by his daughters Caroline and Alison and his wife Pauline. Our thoughts and prayers are with Pauline, Caroline and Alison and their families at this difficult time. Fair winds Ian.

Ian's funeral will take place at Weeley Crematorium on Tuesday 4 April at 13.15 and will be followed by a gathering at Brightlingsea Sailing Club. The club flag will remain at half mast until the funeral as a mark of respect.
