Tera Sailors Do Us Proud!

Published 09:29 on 13 Jun 2018

A number of our Tera sailors made the journey to Cardiff from 30 May to 1 July to compete in the 110 strong fleet at the Rooster UK RS Tera National Championship.

Blake Tudor was the top scoring Brightlingsea boat, with an impressive third place overall and a final race win in the Pro Fleet. Brett Tudor has been improving by leaps and bounds over the past year and put in a very creditable 14th place overall in the Sport Fleet. Other Brightlingsea placings in the Sport Fleet were Harry McTiernan in 42nd, Toby Pierson in 48th, Lucy Ryan in 54th and Sophie Pearson in 58th. For many of these sailors these were personal best performances and to see them doing so well in such a big competitive fleet is a credit to the sailors and to everyone at BSC who work so hard to support and encourage them.

Alongside the performance prizes the Brightlingsea sailors also did the club proud by featuring in the special awards with Sophie Pearson winning an Endeavour Prize and Enzo Goodsell winning a Committee Boat Prize for Keeping Going.

Well done to the entire BSC team who did such a wonderful job of representing our club at this prestigious event. Full report and results can be found at https://uk.rstera.org/index.asp?p=results&id=86
