We are so saddened to learn the news from Buckingham Palace and we all mourn the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. The Queen has been a steady hand on the tiller of our lives for over 70 years. She shared our love of the sea, spending many happy days afloat, in particular aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia. Our photograph shows The Queen sailing the Royal Dragon Bluebottle with the Duke of Edinburgh shortly after the yacht was presented to them as a wedding gift by the Island Sailing Club in 1948. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family as we reflect on a long life of Service and dedication to the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
