RIP Eileen Rust - Updated - Funeral Details

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Eileen Rust. Eileen joined Brightlingsea Sailing Club with husband Eric and sons Phil and Mike in 1974 when the family moved to Brightlingsea. She soon became involved with the running of the club supporting Eric as a flag officer; organising social events as a member of the House and Entertainments committee; and running the Pyefleet Week race office for several years. She retained an interest in the club, following the sailing efforts of her children and grandchildren from her beach hut and was still quizzing Philip [our Hon General Secretary] about the club's wellbeing at the recent family Christmas get together. She died peacefully on 2nd January at the age of 96.

Update - Eileen's funeral will take place on Wednesday 5 February at 15.30 and will be followed by a gathering at BSC.
