RIP Jean Thomas

It is with great sadness that we share the news that BSC Honorary Life Member Jean Thomas (nee Stone) passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning 20th March 2019 at Farrar's Hall Care Home, Huntingdon at the age of 94.

Jean was the daughter of BOD designer and builder Robbie Stone and indeed BOD number 1 Jean was named after her. She had belonged to BSC since childhood and was always a wonderful supporter of the club, continuing to follow our news even when failing health prevented her from being able to visit in person. Unfortunately Jean was not been able to visit Brightlingsea due to her bad health for the past few years but she often talked about her family life in the town and of time spent with her father at the James & Stone yard (now the location of the Waterside Marina development).

Jean's funeral will take place on Monday 29t April 2019 at Noon. The funeral service and burial will take place at Barton Glebe Woodland Burial Chapel CB23 7BN. Family flowers only but donations can be made if desired to either the Alzheimer's Association or RNLI West Mersea Lifeboat Station
