The weekend of 31 May and 1 June saw the club buzzing with visitors from the Merlin Rocket, Solo and GP14 fleets. The weather gods produced some lovely sunshine and plenty of breeze to give the 51 strong fleet some great racing to remember. Meanwhile ashore the galley volunteers and bar staff ensured everyone was well fed and watered and the sponsored beer (courtesy of some very generous fleet members) went down extremely well.

In the GP14s Jasper Barnham and Graham Sexton of Snettisham Beach SC took five straight wins to claim overall victory. Maurice Cleal and Romek Kowalewski from Welsh Harp finished second and Stephen Cooper and Liz Guest, also from Welsh Harp, took third.

The Solos were dominated by Northampton SC's Oliver Davenport who won with a race to spare and a clear set of bullets. Fergus Barnham (Northampton SC) and Vince Horey (King George SC) battled it out for the remaining Solo podium places with Fergus just pipping Vince to the silver by a single point.

For the Merlins the event was part of their Silver Tiller series and the racing was exceptionally close with three different race winners over the six race series. Claiming three of those bullets were South Staffs SC's Andy Davis and Ollie Meadowcroft, who took a three point overall victory from Waldringfield SC's Alan Krailing, crewed by BSC's own Pete Nicholson. Four further points back in third were Will and Arthur Henderson from Salcombe SC.

Huge thanks to all the crews who travelled from across the country to join us for what proved to be a fantastic weekend - we hope to see you all again very soon!
